The Dalmatian Energy Agency with its representative, Director Mario Jakić, participated this year at the 8th International Energy Forum in Split, where we had the opportunity to participate in panel discussions with other eminent experts and panelists from Croatia, the European Union and the world. Representatives of large Croatian companies and large companies operating in Croatia, government officials and private entrepreneurs were also represented. Prominent Croatian and foreign energy experts and scientists, as well as representatives of associations and organizations dealing with energy and energy security, also participated.
Over the years, the International Energy Forum – INTERENEF has profiled itself as a reference place and event for discussions on the most pressing and topical issues in the field of energy, in the broadest sense. In recent years, INTERENEF has attached special importance to the topics of energy security in the context of rapid, unpredictable and paradigmatic geopolitical changes. This makes INTERENEF stand out as a center for a new strategic reflection of energy policies at the level of the entire European Union. As a result, this year’s eighth edition of the Forum wants to reflect on the key energy topic of today’s moment; energy security of the European Union in the new and emerging geopolitical environment. This is a first-class issue not only for the EU, but also for the Republic of Croatia, which wants to impose itself as a European energy hub, and at the same time is located in a challenging and unstable geopolitical neighborhood.
