The Law on Renewable Energy Sources and High-Efficiency Cogeneration (Official Gazette 100/15, 123/16, 131/17, 111/18) regulates the planning and promotion of the production and consumption of electricity produced in production facilities that use renewable energy sources and/or high-efficiency cogeneration. Rules on connection to the distribution network, which determine the elaboration of the optimal technical solution for connection to the network, the issuance of special conditions for connection to the network, the issuance of electricity approval, the manner and conditions for the procurement of goods, services and works for the construction of the connection and the creation of technical conditions in the network.

Decree on Issuing Energy Approvals and Establishing Conditions and Deadlines for Connection to the Electric Power Network (Official Gazette 7/18), which prescribes the procedures for issuing energy approvals, which determine the individual conditions of an individual connection, when it is connected to the electric power network, as well as the contractual relations of network users and of the competent energy entity regarding the conditions and terms of connection to the power grid.

Ordinance on simple and other buildings and works (Official Gazette 112/17, 34/18, 36/19, 98/19, 31/20) which prescribes works carried out on an existing building, for which a building permit is not required.
