On Tuesday, Deputy Prefect of the Split-Dalmatia County Ante Šošić visited the Health Center of the Split-Dalmatia County in Mertojak, where the solar power plant was installed. Šošić asserted that the installation of this power plant keeps pace with the times and the policies of the Split-Dalmatia County. “We are working on a strong energy transition, investing in power plants and electric charging stations. This year, we plan to complete the power plant at the Student Dormitory and three more power plants at primary schools in Kaštela, Solin and Sinj. We are also planning a larger power plant on the Split-Dalmatia County building itself, thereby fulfilling the role of a public investor and one who follows the trends of the times,” said Šošić.

The director of the Health Center of the Split-Dalmatia County, Dr. Marko Rađa, points out that five-sixths of the electricity savings will be obtained from this power plant. “It is a rather important item because the price of electricity has increased recently. This is the first facility where the Health Center has installed a power plant like this, and we have plans to install power plants on other buildings where we have undisputed ownership,” announced Rađa.

The director of the Dalmatian Energy Agency, Mario Jakić, thanked the prefect, Blaženko Boban, for his help in realizing this project. “The investor is the Split-Dalmatia County, i.e. the Health Center, and the total investment is around 68,000 euros. The total power of the power plant is 47.56 kilowatts, and in a year it should produce about 55 thousand kilowatt hours. Our goal is to implement an energy efficiency action plan, and this power plant is in accordance with that program,” said Jakić.
