For the past year, the Split-Dalmatia County has also included the Dalmatian Energy Agency (DEA) in its “portfolio”.
The first appointed director, Mario Jakić, who was on the list of the Homeland Movement in the last local elections, talks about the moves he is making to make life easier for citizens in the fight with (too) expensive energy sources.
– It would be a shame not to use the potential that our climate offers us, which is an average of around 2,500 sunny hours per year. This significant potential for even better use of solar resources needs to be activated, which is our task at DEA.
We want to encourage citizens to use what nature has given us, and we see from the prices on the energy market that this form of investment is very worthwhile for citizens. They also gain self-sufficiency and a certain independence in relation to the energy market. And we are here to help them with their implementation – points out Jakić, emphasizing the current process that is being carried out:
– This is the creation of a database of certified contractors and designers of renewable energy systems. We are preparing a database that will be “released” to the public in about fifteen days. But it is a database that will be constantly supplemented and updated. It is estimated that the base will benefit both our citizens and contractors, that is, designers.
Namely, this will make it easier for citizens to access information. With one click, in one place, you will get all the necessary information about the contractors and designers that the Dalmatian Energy Agency guarantees that they are authorized. At the same time, in this way, contractors and designers from all over Croatia will be more accessible to citizens who want to invest in systems of renewable energy sources.
At the same time, the head of the DEA says that they also had a public invitation to submit requests for expressions of interest in obtaining grants for citizens:
– A total of 156 grant applications were submitted, and 137 of them were approved. This invitation “went” through the County Administrative Department for Economy, EU Funds and Agriculture. The subsidies were intended exclusively for citizens, and the total amount of subsidies for photovoltaic power plants, with an installed capacity of up to 10 kilowatts, amounted to 301,413.49 euros.
