Source : Poslovni Dnevnik OIEH warns that projects worth six Pelješka bridges are on hold.

If the tense situation with the competent operator and the regulatory energy agency is not resolved, 45 currently frozen projects of 2,648 megawatts worth approximately 2.65 billion euros will not be developed, warns the Association of Renewable Energy Sources of Croatia, “and the connection to the old model will cost investors 10 times more, which is why they will not get a return on investment”. According to OIEH, almost six Pelješka bridges could be built with this capital. For projects in the field of renewable energy sources, the deadline for submission of the optimal technical solution for connection (EOTRP) expired on September 13. Investors should have submitted these reports to HOPS (Croatian transmission system operator).

Even before that deadline, the representatives of renewables requested an urgent meeting with the Minister of Economy, Anto Šušnjar, but with little success. They point to the problem that investors are still afraid of the old, so-called of the “deep model” calculation of connection to the power grid from 2017 (the jurisdiction of HERA), which is not yet in the Rototarnica, although the new calculation methodology was adopted in 2022. However, HERA did not make a decision on the unit fee for connection to the power grid for two years, and without that, the new methodology cannot appear. OIEH therefore requested a meeting with HERA. Read more: https://www.poslovni.hr/hrvatska/mingor-ulaganja-u-solare-rastu-do-kraja-2024-ocekeujemo-hera-inu-naknadu-4455558
