General information: The European Executive Agency for Climate, Infrastructure and the Environment (CENA) has published the first call for applications for projects of common interest under the CEF 2021 programme. – 2027. The support refers to research and execution of works in the field of electricity, gas, smart grids and CO₂ gas pipelines. The funds of this instrument are intended for the financing of projects of legal entities based in the member states of the European Union. The total amount of available funds is 785,000,000.00 euros.

 

Eligible applicants: The funds of this instrument are intended to finance the projects of international organizations, research centers, public and private companies, local and regional authorities, ministries and associations responsible for development based in the countries of the European Union

 

Purpose of the call: This tender should contribute to greater support for energy infrastructure projects of common interest that have significant social benefits and that ensure greater solidarity among member states, and do not receive adequate financial assistance from the market.

 

Amount of support: A maximum of 50% for the costs of research and works and a maximum of 70% for the costs of works for the outermost regions of the European Union.
